Remember how exciting it was when we got to watch movies or filmstrips in school? YouTube gives homeschool parents the ability to include documentary videos in their curriculum, too.

When I wrote the program in 2000, YouTube didn’t exist. In fact, YouTube wasn’t invented until 2005, and like most new technologies, it took us a while to figure out what to do with it. For many years it seemed to be used mostly for music videos and homemade videos of kids and kittens. Now, though, there are some truly exceptional videos that bring an added dimension to education.
