On February 25, 1911 Quanah Parker died.

Quanah was the son of Comanche Chief Peta Nocona and Cynthia Ann Parker, a Texas pioneer captured as a child.

As Chief, Quanah Parker became a wise and gracious transitional leader and a statesman for the Comanche tribe.

Quanah Parker had 7 wives and 24 children. Many of his descendants still live in Oklahoma and Texas. If you are a descendant of Chief Quanah Parker, please leave us a comment!
