We start by telling a story–narrating history by means of short articles with plenty of pictures.

Each article features links to quality websites and videos, introducing students to museums, parks, landmarks, and historical associations where they begin to discover history on their own.

An Activity section provides opportunities to learn more about related topics or real people. A wide variety of unit study ideas allow students to experience aspects of each era firsthand, and discussion questions invite them to look deeper, think critically about causes and effects, and fit historical events into their personal worldview.

A section for teachers includes practical helps like vocabulary print-outs, maps and test suggestions as well as a list of real books available through most libraries and dozens of field trip suggestions as well as websites so you can take a virtual vacation if a real trip has to wait.

We provide a vast collection of resources to help your family discover Texas’ remarkable history!
