You have probably never heard of architect Robert Hugman, but if you’ve been to the San Antonio Riverwalk you’ve experienced his genius.
Born in San Antonio on February 8, 1902, Hugman was 19 years old when hurricane rains caused a tragic flood in the downtown area. Later, he had an opportunity to serve the city he called home…and a whole lot of other people as well by bringing beauty from disaster.
