When our family was actively homeschooling, the state conventions in Dallas and The Woodlands were invaluable sources of information, resources, and encouragement.
Could you find resources online? Sure…but nowhere but at convention can you see it all in one room and receive face-to-face answers to your burning questions.
Is traveling a hassle? Maybe…but so is returning a lot of stuff that you’ve spent money on, sight unseen, and then discovered that it wasn’t going to work out. Think of it as a vacation! There are activities planned for everyone!
In addition to great exhibits, the line-up of speakers is absolutely a vault of knowledge and encouragement. New this year: ED Talks (like TED Talks, only educational)! They’re shorter–just 30 minutes of value-packed info and Q&A, so you can learn twice as much and still have time to shop for what you need.
