We firmly believe that we should not just “teach a curriculum.” We teach CHILDREN, and children learn best when they’re actively involved.
They love stories.
They love to take trips.
They love to play and dress up in costumes and try out new things.
And when they do these things–when children take an active part in their own learning with their curiosity fully engaged–they remember what they’ve learned because it’s no longer just something that happened a long time ago to somebody they don’t know. When they’re actively involved, history becomes a part of their own experience–something they’ve seen, heard, tasted, or experienced for themselves.
